Project Description

The world’s first 25nm NAND technology complex includes a 60,000sf renovation of the existing Building 40 and finishing a new “Class 100 Cleanroom” fabrication space of approximately 18,000sf in Phases 1 & 2, with complete sub-fab support area below. The clean room production space within the facility is 100 times cleaner than a hospital. The tiniest particles can upset the process of manufacturing high-performing circuitry.

Removed in this process was 78,000sf of concrete; it was replaced by 7,100 cubic yards of concrete, 1,569,422 lbs of reinforced steel, and 900,000 of new structural steel. Subsequent phases are currently under construction. IM Flash in Lehi, Utah is a joint venture between Micron and Intel.
