Project Description
Phase One of the new University Mall Shopping Center Master Plan was the new 150,000sf furniture store. A complete build-out of a former department store, the only original feature from the previous tenant was an escalator. Features include a waterfall-wall with grand staircase at the entrance, extensive millwork, and ample natural lighting throughout. Considered the new flagship model of the corporation, unique elements include new feels, sounds, and even smells; the Marquis Gallery smells like leather, the Kids area smells like bubblegum with youth-friendly music playing overhead, the Lifestyles Zone has a bamboo scent, and the Mountain Retreat smells like a forest with country music.
