The Huntsman Cancer Institute is a world-renowned cancer hospital and research center. The project consisted of expanding the existing facility to add 156,000sf of space north of the existing Huntsman Cancer Hospital (HCH) to include an additional four operating rooms, 25 exam rooms, 50 new patient rooms, a critical care unit, and additional PET/CT and MRI imaging suites.  Additionally, the new facilities will house an expanded Cancer Learning Center, a Wellness Survivorship Center, and a new Breast Health Center.
