Project Description
The new Ironwood Cancer and Research Center in Glendale, Ariz. is a 25,000sf existing office building that was transformed into a state-of-the-art, out-patient cancer center. The new facility includes imaging facilities (two linear accelerator vaults, PET/CT Scan, and CT), an infusion area, labs, exam rooms, and offices. The project's linear accelerator vaults had concrete walls up to 4'6" thick, which proved to be a unique challenge within the walls of an existing office building; however, the project was successfully completed in just five months.
