University of Utah Impact & Prosperity Epicenter
Salt Lake City, UT
Project Description
A place dedicated to inspiring students – where you can live, learn, and collaborate with purpose. The Impact & Prosperity Epicenter, opening fall 2024, will be home to a diverse group of students and professionals driven by a shared vision and mission for the betterment of people and the planet. Considered the “soul” of campus, this living-learning space will prepare students to become thoughtful global citizens committed to enriching the lives of others.
The building itself is comprised of three parts: Home to 778 students, six floors of residential space will house students driven by a passion to create positive change in their community. Adjacent offices will headquarter two dynamic teams, the Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity and the Sorenson Impact Institute. These residential and professional communities converge in the Forum, an intersectional gathering space that unites building residents to work alongside experts from both Centers in a true living-learning environment.
What Our Clients Are Saying
This Okland team in particular, has been and continues to be a dedicated and collaborative partner in the delivery of this project which houses nearly 780 students on our campus and will serve the Centers for Business, Health, and Prosperity and the Sorenson Impact Institute this fall.
The onsite Okland team in conjunction with the overall Okland leadership framework provides an integral, synergistic partnership with the University that is invaluable to project delivery and the challenges we all face as a team. They continue to exemplify the meaning of teamwork and elevate the industry standards across the State with grace and dignity. From project inception to construction completion, they provide lasting benefits to the process and buildings much earlier and to a greater extent than many other teams I have worked with in the past.
The Impact project has not been without its risks and challenges as so many projects are in this industry. This team has forged ahead, giving their all alongside and supported by their sub-contractors, working under difficult constraints. While we havent had a straight-line path to success, we have meandered through the process due to the relationship we have built over many years, based on a foundation of trust, teamwork and mutual respect for which I am truly grateful.
