It was our pleasure to work with Okland Construction on the construction of the new School of Dentistry building at the University of Utah during the approximate period of 2011-2014. The construction team from Okland was committed, responsive and highly professional from the very beginning of the project. They were essential in making the early planning with the architects, the University and the dental team efficient and extremely productive: for example, they made suggestions for changes that reduced cost, improved the project, and enhanced the beauty and functionality of the end-product facility. They were exceptional in their efforts to keep us informed of progress, problems and solutions. Okland held weekly construction meetings, as well as monthly planning and reporting meetings with University personnel and us. Okland Construction insisted that we (members of the School of Dentistry team) were part of every meeting and made certain that we were satisfied with the decisions and outcomes. They were eager to respond to our questions and requests and when necessary they willingly held extra meetings, responded to phone calls and made sure we were completely informed as to progress. Much to their credit and to our satisfaction, Okland Construction has been very helpful in addressing problems that have arisen since the completion of the building two years ago, even when they were not obligated to do so. And perhaps best of all, they were on time with the project and within budget. In summary, we enjoyed working with Okland Construction and without reservation, they have our full endorsement.
