Project Description
This project was a design-build, competitive, multiple site, and unrestricted procurement. The work consisted of the design-build of a new one-story, 4,000sf facility to maintain munitions delivery systems. The Munitions Maintenance Facility (MMF) includes a bridge crane, a paint booth, equipment storage and processing room, a restroom, an office working environment for approximately eight employees, and a mechanical and communications room.
This project also met anti-terrorism/force protection criteria. Other project expectations included the provision of design deliverables for construction; grading; relocation/protection of utilities; utility service connections and runs; fire protection/life safety systems; handicap accessibility; EMCS; HVAC; all necessary conduits and cabling (including exterior COMM cables); plumbing; mechanical systems; signage and all necessary features (exterior and interior); and yielding a safe, complete and usable facility for the owners intended use. This facility was designed and built to comply with SCIF security requirements.
The project also included the site-adapt design and construction of 32 new earth-covered storage magazines, three new roadways, reconstruction of 2 existing roadways, and a new forced sanitary sewer service to the base sewer system. Demolition for the project included eight structures, including foundations, utility service lines and access driveways.What Our Clients Are Saying
