The Phoenix Zoo's Wallaby Exhibit is a unique opportunity for visitors to walk through the area where the Wallabies roam free in spaces created to simulate their native habitat. The animal display area features nearly 10,000sf of enclosed exhibit space; it also contains additional public viewing areas outside that overlook the exhibit. The habitat also contains a night house with water troughs for the animals as well as architectural concrete structures that provide shade and activity opportunities for the animals. Materials utilized inside the habitat provide a safe environment for prolonged contact by animals. At the exhibit entry, there are shade armadas, architectural water fountains, and hand-made resting benches and trash receptacles.
