LDS Main Street Plaza and Parking Structure
Salt Lake City, UT
Project Description
Adding to the greenery to downtown Salt Lake City is this one-block plaza, constructed on what used to be a section of Main Street. The plaza features architectural concrete, stone, and intricate hardscape and landscape formations with several water features such as fountains and a reflecting pool. The underground parking structure is a 260,000sf, five-level, post-tensioned, and structural concrete underground facility that had a completely shored excavation. The project includes entry ramps from North Temple Street into the garage as well as an automobile circulation link to the existing LDS Church parking garage located to the east of this structure.
