PROJECTS    RELIGIOUS & CULTURAL    LDS SACRAMENTO CALIFORNIA TEMPLE
LDS Sacramento California Temple
Rancho Cordova, CA
Project Description
The Sacramento Temple features a classic, modern single-spire design (with the steeple at a height of 131 feet) and is clad in light-gray granite. To showcase such quality materials, the building features special lighting (and an audio/visual system) for the exterior and interior. A church Distribution Center and two caretaker residences are also on site. The temple is set among 46 acres overlooking the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The entire site is elegantly landscaped, with protection measures in place to preserve the majestic oak trees that surround the site and create a serene, natural setting.
