LDS San Diego Temple
San Diego, CA
Project Description
Few buildings make a more dramatic impression than the San Diego California Temple. With 10 spires of different heights (the most spires of any LDS temple) and the gold-leaf, Angel Moroni statue installed atop its highest point, the structure is clearly visible from a highly-traveled San Diego Freeway. It sits upon 7.2 acres, and the structural steel building is 72,000sf. The sparkling finish of the building’s exterior is provided by marble chips in plaster; the temple also features roof gardens and intricate stained glass. The lobby contains similar interior highlights that are found throughout the temple: architectural woodwork, marble, stained glass artwork, high-quality carpets and furniture, and various works of art (statues and paintings). What Our Clients Are Saying
