Oklands Second Annual Diversity and Women in Construction Scholarships Awarded $5,000 and Internships Awarded to the Winners
2024-06-12-
This spring, Okland announced the winners of their second annual Diversity and Women in Construction Scholarships. The two winners – one for each scholarship – will receive $5,000 towards their accredited construction management programs for the upcoming semester, as well as a paid internship at Okland. During this internship, the recipient will be paired with an Okland mentor who will serve as a resource throughout their time with Okland.

After launching the scholarship program in Spring 2023, Okland has continued its commitment to diversifying the construction industry workforce. The Women in Construction Scholarship was established to recognize the significant contributions women make in the construction industry, despite representing only 10.9% of the workforce. The Diversity Scholarship highlights Okland’s belief that a more diverse construction company is a stronger one.
